VSD to PDF

Upload the .vsd or .vsdx file and click Convert to PDF. A LibreOffice engine compiled to WebAssembly loads in your browser, renders the diagram, and downloads a PDF you can open, print, or share on any device without a Visio license.

Both the legacy binary .vsd format from Visio 2003 and earlier and the XML-based .vsdx format from Visio 2013 and later, and you can mix them in one batch. Files saved as .vsdm or .vdx aren't accepted, so re-save those as .vsdx first.

Each Visio page becomes one PDF page, and the page size and orientation from the drawing are kept, so a landscape network diagram stays landscape.

Older .vsd files generally convert with lower fidelity than .vsdx, so unusual shapes, custom stencils, or text formatting can render a little differently. Fonts that aren't available are substituted, which can shift labels; check the output if the diagram is going into formal documentation.

Add as many .vsd and .vsdx files as you need, remove any you don't want, and convert them together. One file downloads as a PDF with the same base name; several come back in vsd-to-pdf.zip, with duplicate names given a numbered suffix.

The engine is roughly 75 MB compressed and has to be downloaded and started once per session, with a progress percentage shown while it loads. Later conversions in the same session skip that step and finish quickly.

Shape labels and connector text are written into the PDF as text, so you can select, copy, and search them. The diagram itself is drawn as vector shapes, so it stays sharp when zoomed or printed.

No. The conversion engine runs entirely in your browser, so network diagrams, floor plans, and org charts are rendered on your own machine and the PDF is saved from there. Nothing is transmitted to a server.
